Destination Description

Mole National Park, the largest wildlife refuge in Ghana, is one of the country’s seven national parks. Located 24 kilometers from Damongo, the district capital, and 146 kilometers southeast of Tamale, the regional capital, Mole is also Ghana’s most developed tourism site in terms of visitor amenities.

The park is home to West Africa’s first luxury safari lodge, nestled within the heart of the Mole forest. Zaina Lodge, Ghana’s premier ecolodge, offers world-class hospitality with a distinct touch, blending luxury with a connection to nature.

Recently, the park has gained additional recognition for producing honey made from flowers in the Mole National Forest, which has become the region’s first fair-trade commodity. This initiative highlights Mole’s contribution to both conservation and sustainable development.
